Act now: USCIS processing fees slated to go up next year

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued a proposal to raise the application fees for citizenship, lawful permanent residency (green card status) and many other services. The proposal is now in a public comment period until Dec. 16, after which the agency must consider the comments.

NEW USCIS FEES EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 23, 2016

The Department of Homeland Security has published a new rule, effective December 23, 2016, raising filing fees for applications/petitions filed with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service ("USCIS"). The last time USCIS updated the fee schedule was on November 23, 2010. The current USCIS fee schedule and the new fees, are displayed in the below-table.
